Seventh: Tilt the Cast Iron Radiator so both valves are open over a bucket. Allow as much water as possible to drain out of the radiator. Empty the buckets as necessary.
Eighth: When the Cast Iron Radiator is completely drained, remove it with the help of a friend. If you intend to replace the radiator, reverse the steps used to detach the radiator from the wall, making careful note of the amount of turns necessary to reconnect the lock shield valve to the radiator.
